Fencing is extremely popular with children and proven to hold their interest and attention levels for longer than other mainstream sports. It instantly appeals to a child's sense of play and provides a constant level of intellectual and physical stimulation. And now it has never been easier to introduce this exciting Olympic sport into your school. Little Musketeers offers a range of services designed to fit in and around the school day and holiday periods.

School Clubs and Holiday Camps

Little Musketeers classes can be delivered before, during and after the school day as part of the curriculum and through extra-curricular clubs. We also run a number of holiday sports courses. Sessions focus on a variety of games and activities to help improve speed and co-ordination and develop specific fencing and decision making skills. As well as group activities children will also benefit from individual fencing tuition to further develop their technique. We run activities for 3 age groups:

Musketeer Tots (Ages 3-4 pre-school) NEW - Coming in Spring 2012

A specifically developed programme for the younger swashbuckler! Using safe foam equipment, we teach the basic peripheral skills needed for fencing through a variety of fun games and exercises. Courses include themed weeks such as Pirate Play, Gladiator Games and Medieval Madness. A great introduction to our Little Musketeers courses. Please see our Pre-School Page

Little Musketeers (Ages 5-7)
Structured and progressive term-time courses for our budding musketeers. Using primarily foam swords, we teach all the basic skills of fencing, introducing the concepts of attacking and defending and co-ordination of hands and feet, through a variety of exciting games sand exercises.

Mega Musketeers (Ages 8-11)
Structured and progressive term time courses using primarily plastic swords that mimic the real thing! Designed for children of 8 years plus our Mega Musketeers courses introduce and develop more complex age appropriate skills and a wider variety of moves and strokes.

Curriculum Fencing sessions

In addition to our breakfast, lunch and after school programmes, Little Musketeers are able to run structured and progressive term time curriculum courses or one off sessions as part of the schools PE provision. We are also able to supply PE teaching cover at short notice. Our prices are as follows:

£3500 for a term course (10 full days catering for 4 classes of up to 40 children per day)
£375 for a single day visit (4 classes of up to 40 children)
£225 for a morning visit (2 groups of up to 40 children)
£185 for an afternoon visit (2 groups of up to 40 children)

Little Musketeer Fun days (Years 1-6)

Are you looking for an exciting, cost effective way to introduce your school to Little Musketeers? Or perhaps you are looking for ideas for a rewarding end of term extravaganza? Either way, our fun days provide an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for all, regardless of ability.

We structure our fun days around a rotation system which involves a whole class session for each year group with every child receiving a participatory certificate. We also present a medal and personalised certificate to one child in each class that has particularly stood out as an exceptional fencer.

Prices for our fun days start from just £3 per pupil.

Staff team building sessions Happy, enthusiastic members of staff are essential to a school's overall performance. We offer a variety of sword fighting team building experiences to compliment your existing motivational programme.

Prices start from just £5 p/p when booked together with a school fun day, or £125 for a typical 1.5 hour event for between 5 and 30 staff. We are happy to tailor our sessions to fit your schedule.
